Spring break for us is a two week break from school and the perfect time for an adventure! Now that both of the kids are older, potty trained and love new adventures we decided to explore a new part of Washington State that we’ve never visited before. A lot of thought went into where we would travel and what to do. I honestly didn’t know that there was so much on the coast to explore including geocaching, National Parks and even Twilight tours in Forks, WA! Moclips looked like the perfect place to stay on the map and luckily vrbo.com had an amazing house to rent right on the ocean!
The drive from BC was about 12 hours to the coast so we decided to split it up into two days because having a 7 and 3 year old in the car with their dog for that many hours is just CRAZY! It is funny how much our definition of crazy changes as we get older and we change with our families. It is nice that the kids have similar interests to us as they get older like adventuring and trying new things, it sure makes vacation a lot easier.
Our destination in Moclips, WA is perfect we couldn’t of asked for a better house or scenery. The bonus is that we can take short day trips to so many amazing places like the Olympic National Park that has some of the biggest trees in it! That’s why we like geocaching so much it always takes us to new places to explore that are amazing and once in a lifetime adventures.
