Today is Earth Day and I’m sure there are tons of events happening everywhere to support environmental protection. However, if you are looking for something to do this coming weekend in San Diego, I would like to tell you about the EarthFair going on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Balboa Park.
EarthFair is a great way to celebrate life on earth by going to the biggest environmental fair in the world. The greatest thing about this fair, is that it is absolutely free! There will be all kinds of wonderful activities going on throughout the day. Located in Balboa Park, the EarthFair opens at 10am and closes at 5pm.
Some of the great things going on at the EarthFair is having over 300 exhibitors there representing environmental organizations, pet adoptions, as well as having products made from natural grown crops. There are too many to name here, so I have included this list of EarthFair 2014 Exhibitors for you.
Also, there will be plenty of entertainment going on. With 5 stages setup, there will be one for the children with storytelling and music. Another stage which is hosted by the San Diego Folk Music Heritage Society will be playing folk music. Various other stages will have a variety of other contemporary and folk music playing.
Along with the vast number of exhibitors being at the EarthFair, there will also be a food pavilion where you can even find vegetarian being offered from some of the food venders there. There will be a kids area with face painting, crafts, storytelling and hands on activities for kids of all ages. And don’t forget about the Children’s Parade that starts at 10:30am by Spanish Village.
Such a wonderful event that will be going on and at such a beautiful place. Balboa Park is one of my favorite places to just walk around and enjoy the scenery, no wonder the largest environmental fair in the world is taking place there. If you do go, use the hashtag #MNAV in social media tweets, facebook or Instagram so we can see the amazing time you are having!
Happy Earth Day to you all!
