So there is this fantastic place in Coeur d’Alene that sits right off the highway that is a full packed day of family fun. It’s Triple Play and Raptor Reef Indoor Water park.
We have heard of it before but had never made the journey up North to check it out. Now that we have experienced it, well, my kids pretty much want to go back every day.
It’s a great deal for just $30 for Triple Play and an additional $10 for Raptor Reef, you can entertain your family ALL day. The only thing not included is the food and arcade games. Everything else like the bowling, go-carts, mini-golf, lazer tag, climbing wall, bumper boats, water slides and water park are all included. You can even mine for rocks, fossils and gems in the large arcade area! If you choose, you can also pick separately and pay ala carte as well.
It really is not just fun for the kids, the grown ups had plenty of fun too. I can’t remember the last time I raced in go-carts and slid down crazy water slides! I even had a blast playing lazer tag with 4 very aggressive 10 year old boys against my family. Mommy mode kicked in and we showed those boys not to mess with my little girls! Ok… maybe that’s an exaggeration, they shot me several times and my kids had to protect me, but we still had fun (I got some good shots in though)!
They do have a full size bowling alley and even for a Friday night we were able to get on a lane whenever we desired. We bowled and sadly I was schooled by my 8 year old. Good thing I used the bumpers too or my score would’ve been even worse.
I have to say we had the most fun at Raptor Reef. The wave pool was a great place to relax and take a break. My youngest had never been on a water slide and was a bit scared at first. These are nice because you get to use double inner tubes so we could go together. It took a bit of coaxing but once she did it, she was hooked. We climbed those stairs and slid down I can not even tell you how many times.
The youngest loved the scariest one (The Constrictor) in my opinion. A super fast, twisty turning, dark slide. The oldest was more impressed by the vortex or as we called it, the toilet bowl. We even convinced Dad to go down and he even enjoyed the slides (he’s not a ride guy).
The time flew by while we were there. We spent a total of about 4 hours there and got to experience everything. It’s nice to know we could’ve spent all day and continued to experience the fun but we were worn out and decided to call it a night.
I am already hearing pleas of when can we go back, so I will definitely say this is a recommended stop if you are looking for some great family fun in the Northwest! You can even reserve parties and group events there!
Another great option is staying at the connected hotel for those who wish to come and go or call it a weekend getaway! The Holiday Inn Express is connected by a skybridge and has many fun family suites available.
